Russell Mehta joins the GIA Board of Governors

We are thrilled to announce that the GIA Board has welcomed our India Managing Director, Russell Mehta, to their Board of Governors.⁠

The GIA Board of Governors provides strategic direction to the Institute and acts as a steward of the public interest. The 16 Governors include gem and jewellery industry leaders, distinguished academics in relevant scientific fields and experts in technology, business, finance, consumer brands, retail and risk management. Following in the footsteps of his uncle, Dilip Mehta (who served as a Governor in the late ‘90s), Russell Mehta will bring valuable industry expertise to the Board.⁠

On his appointment, Russell Mehta had the following to share: “I am grateful to both the GIA and Rosy Blue for giving me the opportunity to take on this new role.
